The climate:
Gran Canaria, also called "the small continent", because of the different climates on the island. Gran Canaria is
situated in the Atlantic Ocean, approx. 1.250 km South of the main land of Spain and only approx. 200 km away from Africa. Gran Canaria
has a warm and sub-tropical Atlantic climate. The temperature is the whole year through pleasant and quite stable because
of the passat wind (calisio) and the gulf stream. Only a few days a year it rains in the South of the island.
